Just to the south of Treasure Island is St. Pete Beach which offers residents and visitors alike miles of white sandy beaches that gently border the Gulf of Mexico. St. Pete Beach has a wide variety of accommodations ranging from four star resorts to the classic Florida "mom and pop" motel that bring back memories of a slower paced time.

Some of our favorite places to eat and drink in St. Pete Beach are the Blue Parrot at the east end of Cory Ave. or an exciting new restaurant, Sea Hags, has opened on Blind Pass which is on the north end of St. Pete Beach. Sea Hags offers waterfront dining and drinking both inside and outside. The Blue Parrot also offers inside and waterfront dining and dinking. If we are on St. Pete Beach we wil be either at Sea Hags or the Blue Parrot.

The Warf, which is located in Pass-a-Grille is a classic old fashion Florida waterfront restaurant/bar with great food and a great view. Harry's Beach bar behind the Sirata is one of several beach bars located behind the various hotels located along the beach.

Best way to see all of St. Pete Beach? Try the Pinellas Beach Trolley which you can ride all day long for only a few bucks. The Trolley runs the length of Gulf Boulevard from Clearwater Beach south to Pass-a-Grille with stops every several blocks. It's a great way to eat, shop and drink at the best spots on the beach without having to hassle with traffic or parking.

While you are visiting St. Pete Beach remember to always wear sun screen and to tip your bartender and waitress. In Florida, these hard working folks have to make their living off that 15% to 20% gratuity you leave as a reward for their service.
